I was educated at Tel Aviv University (BSEE, 1977) and at Drexel University (MS 1985, Ph.D. 1987). At present, I am a Professor at Drexel's Electrical and Computer Engineering Department. The Data Fusion Laboratory, which I founded in 1989, is devoted to mobile robots and multi-agent sensor fusion. The lab is a research center, and home to teams of undergraduate and graduate students who work on projects in machine intelligence and pattern recognition. We enjoy stable support from government agencies and local industry. Our main project at the present time, funded by DARPA, is focused on intrusion detection in computer networks. For my work, and the work of my students, I received the National Science Foundation Presidential Young Investigator Award in 1990, the C. Holmes MacDonald Outstanding Young Electrical Engineering Educator Award in 1991, the Drexel University Research Award in 1998, and the Distinguished Professor Award in 2000.
